A sport for all...

For over 50 years, Erina Archery Club has held weekly target shoots at our archery field on the Central Coast. Our archers use Recurve, Compound and Longbow equipment at our shoots.  

We have recently relocated to our new archery field at Peats Ridge.  While we still have a lot to do to rebuild our clubhouse, we are now operational and running shoots at our new ground.

The Club has approximately 100 members who vary in age from 10 to 80. Some of our members compete in interclub, State, National and International Tournaments and many of them hold National and State Tournament records. There are also many members who just enjoy the sport of archery for fun, recreation and the social benefits.

If you would like to participate in archery as a sport, please look at our Beginners Course section on the website for details of the Beginners Course. Visitors are welcome to watch our weekly shoots which normally commence at 9 am on Saturday mornings at our archery field at  Peats Ridge.

OUR HISTORY

Founded in Erina in 1982

The Erina Archery Club was initially called Gosford Archery Club and was formed we believe in the early 1960’s. Roy Morris was the President and Robert Vickers was the Secretary/Treasurer.

Shooting was conducted every Sunday morning at the Jus-Fruit Park adjacent to Henry Kendall’s Cottage at West Gosford. As there were no facilities for storage, targets & stands were covered in plastic sheets and stored against a large tree with the hope that they wouldn’t be stolen or vandalised.

When West Gosford started to expand we moved to an area near Gosford R.S.L that is now occupied by the Galaxy Motel. As the Motel & R.S.L Club expanded we were gradually edged out and had to go further afield.
